Happy Fall!

Hope you're having a great day after Halloween!  I here to share a step card I created using files from the Scrappy Dew Vault.  I have found an amazing amount of great files the Vault!

For this card I used Sprinkled with Love (which is in the Scrappy Dew Vault), and the sentiment is from Squirrely Fun.  For the centers of the sunflowers, I used Stampendous Fragments in Copper.  I think it gives the flowers just the bling they need.  The background paper is from Canvas Corp.  if you've never tried their paper before, you need to!  It's heavy weight and they have a lot designs to choose from!

Happy Crafting!!

Hooked on You Anniversary Card

Hey there all you Scrappy Dew fans!! My 34th wedding anniversary is approaching, so I thought I'd make my husband a card to celebrate the occasion. He is an avid fisherman, so I'm sure he will enjoy this card!! After all, it's made by his "perfect catch" haha.
I used the Hooked on Fishing file from Scrappy Dew Creations, and changed the wording to suit my needs. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating this card! Have a sunny day!! ~ DT Deb

Ocracoke Islsnd, NC

Hey!!  Hope you all are keeping cool in this sweltering heat!

Today I am sharing the cover page for my Ocracoke Island album. I replicated the Ocracoke Lighthouse, and added a pirate ship and a pirate because Ocracoke is the home of Blackbeard! The files I used for this project are Lighthouse and Pirates by Scrappy Dew Creations!

The texture on the lighthouse was achieved by covering my cut with Faber-Castell Bead Gel.  The "whitecaps" on the waves is Liquid Applique which I heated to make it puff up.  And lastly, the cross-stitched die is by Gina Marie Designs.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!!

Be Unique

Today I am sharing a card I made using Scrappy Dew Creations Scrap Factory Plum Fruity Diva. The theme for this card is something that really breaks my heart.....Bullying!!! This is for a teenager I know who was bullied at school for her sense of style. I believe everyone should be "unique" and "be their own person".

The Fruity Divas are soo much fun to make!!  I added a little Wink of Stella to the plums and to her belt, and I found the perfect quote by Orson Welles. ~ DT Deb

UNDER THE WEATHER?

Hey there!  I am here to share with you a card I made using Scrappy Dew's Puddle Jumper file.  I have to say, I really enjoyed making it!  For some reason, this file makes me smile lol.

I wanted my images to fit on an A2 size card, so I cut them at 4.24" high.  For the rain jacket and hat, I used DCWV canvas.  I had to set my machine to double cut because the canvas is so thick.  I used pop dots to raise the eyes on the umbrella, and added Glossy Accents to the rain drops and the puddle.

Have a great day!!

OH CRAP!

Happy Hump Day!! Today I am sharing a card I created using Virginia Turtle's Oh Crap stamp set.  Its really just a simple card with humorous tone!  To make this card, I used Gina Marie's a round cross stitched die to cut out the image.  I then colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The glitter dots are a retired product from Virginia Turtle Craft Supplies.  Enjoy!!

BUNNY MIXED MEDIA TAG

For my DT project for Scrappy Dew Creations, I created this bunny mixed media tag.  Sometimes I just need to go "out of the box" when making new things.  For this tag, I used the Egg Shaped Bunny file from Scrappy Dew Creations.

When I first started this project, I had no idea which way it was gonna go.  I started out with a tag, then cut the sun and rays out with the Silhouette.  I used this cut as a stencil to add the sun and ray to the tag using Faber Castell Whipped Spackle.  I added the yellow color to the spackle using Squeezed Lemon Tim Holtz Distress Paint.  The clouds were also cut out with the Silhouette and I used Faber Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel which was tinted using Sail Boat Blue Adirondack Alcohol Ink.

From there, I added the Egg Shaped Bunny and grass which was also cut on the Silhouette.  The grass is part of the Easter Egg Hunter file from Scrappy Dew Creations, as well as the little eggs.  I just played around placing and moving the eggs until I thought they looked ok. The sentiment is from a retired set of stamps by Virginia Turtle Stamps, the fibers at the top of the tag are from my stash, as well as the flower adorning the Bunny's ear!

Hope you enjoyed this "out of the box" tag!!

MAGICAL DAY

Good afternoon! I'm here to share a shaker card I made using Virginia Turtles Magical Day digi file!!  The file can be found at Virginiaturtle.com

I started out making the card base in Silhouette Studio.  The base is the size of an A2 card.  The scallop circle and stitched rectangle were all cut from Silhouette Studio.  I then fussy cut the digital image and used my Spectrum Noir markers to color.  The glitter enamel dots and sequin mix are a retired product from Virginia Turtle.

If you would like the cut files for this card, leave me a comment and I will get them to you!!

Have a great day!!

EGG HUNT

Egg Hunt

Hey everyone!!  I'm here to share my lastest Design Team post for Scrappy Dew Creations.  This is a step card I made using two of Scrappy Dew's fabulous files,"Easter Egg Hunters" and "Egg Shaped Bunny".  All of the elements I used on this card are from those two files.  I did use Wink of Stella to highlight the little girl's dress, basket, waistband, and hat.  For the distressing on the fence, I used Prima's Shabby Tote chalk ink.  I hope this inspires you to make your own version!!!!!

Bewitching Time

Hey there! Deb 1 here with a fun little card featuring a gray haired witch and a sentiment that fits her perfectly!  I distressed the house by sanding the cardstock to give it a more aged look and left the grass semi-high so that the yard looks over grown. The stamp set used is called Witch, Please from Virginia Turtle Stamps!!  If you have never been to their store, check them out....they have lots of goodies. You will find a link to their page on the right side of our page!  Enjoy your Friday night!!

THINKING OF YOU

Happy Friday!!!  I just LOVE the Everyday Panda set from Virginia Turtle!  I love the simplicity of this card. The butterfly was colored red, because to me it looked like two hearts. I cut the bamboo from the Life's a Beach cartridge from Cricut. The edges were distressed just to give it a different look. Thanks for looking!!
